PINEBLUFF — Aviation officials say an encounter with a power line may have contributed to the crash of an ultra-light plane Tuesday night in Moore County.
Authorities say the aircraft clipped the power line before falling into a golf course lake.
The pilot, 38-year-old James Capstaff of Aberdeen was killed in the crash. His passenger survived with minor injuries.
