CLINTON — Efforts to shut down a hog theft ring arecontinuing. Authorities in Sampson County found 65 hogs behind a man'shome, and have arrested him.
Officials said they have charged 64-year-old Bobby Williams withlarceny and possession of stolen property. More arrests are expected.
In the past few weeks, more than 300 hogs have been stolen from farmsin Sampson County.
Owners say the thieves drive right up to the farmgates and load the hogs onto a waiting truck.
