The woman driving the car was injured seriously enough to lead emergencypersonnel to call for Duke Hospital's Lifeflight helicopter. First, however,firemen and EMS personnel worked on her as she lay on a gurney.
A nearby resident, who happened to have a video camera with him, taped theaftermath. He said the neighborhood had been trying to get a traffic lightinstalled because the area has been the scene of multiple wrecks and a fatalitylast year.
Identity of those in Sunday's crash has not been made public, nor aredetails available on the status of the driver of the pick-up truck.
Police continue their investigation.
