WILMINGTON — The double murder trial of former FortBragg soldier Malcolm Wright began Thursday.Wright is charged with gunning down two black Fayetteville residents in1995.
The 12-person jury what will decide his fate is comprised of six menand six woman. Only one of the jurors is black.
James Burmeister, also a former soldier, has already received two lifesentences for his part in the shootings.
Wright's attorney says Wright was present, but did not commit themurders.
The trial was moved out of Cumberland County because of pre-trialpublicity.
