Mobile Classroom at Millbrook Destroyed by Fire

Posted March 24, 1997 12:00 a.m. EST

— Fire investigators are saying that arson may have been the cause of a fire Sunday at a Raleigh public school.

A mobile classroom at West Millbrook Middle School was destroyed by fire. Firefighters stopped the flames from moving to any other buildings.

No injuries were reported.

"We were very, very fortunate that all we did lose in this incident was one trailer," said Greg Hauser, director of security for Wake County Public Schools. "Had the wind been blowing in the other direction, our facility loss, our monetary loss, could've been much more substantial than what we're faced with today."
