GREENSBORO — A condition linked to Mad Cow disease isapparently responsible for a 1996 death in the Triad.
Scientists with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have discovered anew variant of the disease that caused a panic in the United Kingdom lastyear. They say it may be associated with people who eat beef from animalswho had Mad Cow disease.
Health officials say there is no cause for public concern.
