ROANOKE RAPIDS — Motorists along Interstate 95 nearRoanoke Rapids have been concerned about a puppy with a broken leg thathad been wandering alongside the roadway. She's now in good hands.
The Humane Society was finally able to catch her and take her to aveterinarian. There, her leg was fixed, and she will recuperate untilshe is ready for adoption.
The terrier mix had attracted a lot of attention. People wanted tohelp her but she managed to scoot just out of catching distance until thehumane society people stepped in.
She had been relying on picnic table scraps of tourists to survive.
