CARY — The pastor of White Plains United MethodistChurch has been found liable for civil assault and battery against twoformerchurch workers. The jury now must consider punitive and compensatorydamages against Reverend Ed Privette.
Three women had charged that the minister massaged, hugged and kissed theminappropriately on several occasions.
Privette took the stand in his own defense
There is no limit set on monetary damages that could be assessed againstPrivette. He is still the senior minister at the Cary church.
