DURHAM — The state is investigating Durham's Alcohol Beverage Control due to concerns that liquor distributors may have traded sports tickets, free meals and clothing for special favors.
ALE is the second agency to look into Durham's system. The Durham County Sheriff's department is trying to find out who made $1,500 worth of telephone sex calls from the organization's headquarters.
