Shots Fired During Fayetteville Bank Robbery

FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville bank was held up Fridayafternoon. The robber entered the NationsBank on Ramsey Street wearing aski mask.

Police say he fired two shots, then told everyone in the bank toget down onto the floor.

He then jumped the counter, grabbed handsful of cash, and fled.

Several patrons of the bank reported that the chased the bank robber andanother man into the nearby woods, where the two men got away.

The men exited the woods in a nearby parking lot where they jumpedinto a blue Izusu Trooper with Illinois plates and sped away.

Police were still looking for the men Saturday morning.
