Fayetteville Investigation On Hold

FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville's investigation of itspolice department and city manager's office is on hold.

The NAACP had called for an outside investigation after three blackpolice officers said they were punished for complaining about racism.

The city had asked a Georgia judge to lead the effort. Now, the judgesays he won't because the city is only budgeting $10,000 for theinvestigation.
