Pet Shop Wants Its Bird Back

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE — Employees at a Fayetteville pet shop aremissing a friend of theirs -- an exotic bird that was stolen on SuperbowlSunday.

"Birdie," as the feathered friend was named, is worth about $3200. Butthe 2-year-old was worth more than that -- she was also the mascot of thePets Plus shop.

Bobby Kellams says he and others miss the bird a great deal. Theyworrythat if the bird is not fed its proper diet, it could die.

Also, if the bird were to be let loose at this time of year, the coldweather or other hazards would undoubtedly lead to its death.

Anyone with information on the missing bird -- and friend -- is askedto call Fayetteville Crimestoppers

Pets Plus is offering a $1000 reward for Birdie's safe return.
