DURHAM — Finally, there's some relief on the way forpeople who travel along Interstate 85 north of Durham. The North CarolinaDepartment of Transportation says expansion of the 11-mile stretch nearFalls Lake to four lanes should be completed by summer.
That's the same construction zone where eight people died in lastsummer's tractor-trailer and multi-vehicle accident. Wrecks and trafficjams have plagued the area for the past two years.
