RALEIGH — A group of angry fathers is talking to Governor Jim Hunt and getting some response. The group, known as Fathers Against the Crackdown, expressed anger that its member were being forced to pay child support, but that there was no legal recourse for fathers who aren't allowed to visit their children.
The men said earlier this week that they would refuse to pay their child support until some steps were taken to address their complaints.
Governor Hunt has now agreed to look into the matter. He has instructed members of his legal staff to do some research and report back to him.
