RAEFORD — A Hoke County cotton farmer is trying todetermine how much of his crop went up in smoke Sunday night.
The fire at the Oakdale Cotton Gin just outside Raeford began at about10 p.m. Between 40 and 50 bales of cotton were destroyed and there were noinjuries.
Investigators don't yet know how the fire started, but say arson is apossibility.
