FORT BRAGG — A military judge has decided a court-martial panelwillhear statements made by an accused spy at Fort Bragg.
Pfc. Eric Jenott is charged with espionage after allegedly breaking into an Army computer and sharing the password with a Chinese citizen.
Jenott showed his commanders and, later, investigators, what he could do. He and his family say he did so to enable the Army to correct a weakness in the security of a key communication system.
The defense wanted the judge to disallow those statements, but the judge rejected that motion Thursday.
The court-martial is scheduled for December.
