RALEIGH — Right now, it looks like, well, aconstruction site, and that's exactly what it is. But within a few days,it will look like the North Carolina State Fair.
The midway rides arrived Tuesday, in pieces, and will be constructed,inspected and ready to create thrills by this Friday when the fair opensto the public.
Jeff McCracken is a newcomer when it comes to assembling the annualevent. He says he had no idea how much was involved in putting it alltogether.
Inspectors will be making the rounds Thursday after all the rides havebeen built.
Everything is expected to be up and safely running by Friday morning.
