MEBANE — Two teenage boys allegedly escaped from agroup home in Orange County, attacking a guidance counselor and a nearbyresident in the process.
Authorities at the Yes I Can group home, located near Mebane, say twomale and two femaleteens attacked a guidance counselor at the home at about 4 a.m. Monday.The two boys then broke out of the home and assaulted another victim at anearby residence. One of the males has been caught. The other is still atlarge.
The Yes I Can home houses teens who suffered abuse or neglect in theirhomes. School officials say they have never experienced an trouble likethis before.
