VANCE COUNTY — One person is dead after a collision between two tractor-trailers near the Virginia border Wednesday morning.
The Vance County Sheriff's Office saysone tractor-trailer hit the rear of the other, causing the accident just south of Henderson. One of the trucks caught fire.
Northbound I-85 wasshut down at mile marker 209 for much of the morning.
The victim has not been identified.
