Bridge Work Prompts Exit Closing On I-40 In Durham County

DURHAM — The

N.C. Department of Transportation

will close an exit along Interstate 40 West In Durham County to continue the widening of the Fayetteville Road Bridge.

The DOT will close Fayetteville Road exit 276 on I-40 West in from Friday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 17 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Traffic needing to access Fayetteville Road from I-40 West should take I-40 West to Exit 273 (N.C. 54) to I-40 East and back to Fayetteville Road.

The ramp accessing to I-40 East from Fayetteville Road will be closed during the same hours Friday through Monday.
