WUNC To Host Live Broadcast of Marketplace Program

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — North Carolina Public Radio will host the broadcast of American Public Media's "Marketplace" report on June 13 at the

WUNC

studio in Durham's American Tobacco Historic District.

The public is invited to watch the program, which will begin at 5 p.m. The broadcast will take place in Bay Seven adjacent to the WUNC studio. (Reservations are required; send a request to rsvp@wunc.org ).

Host Kai Ryssdal will anchor the national business report. Ryssdal has been the host since August of last year. He hosted the morning Marketplace report for more than four years.

N.C. Public Radio partnered with Marketplace to establish the program's Innovations Desk at WUNC (91.5 FM).

Marketplace programs are heard by some 8 million people each week, more than any business program on radio or television, according to WUNC.
