Chapel Hill Police Investigate Series Of Break-Ins

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill authorities are warning the public about a recent series of residential break-ins.

According to police, the break-ins have occurred at houses, apartments, sheds and garages. They said in some cases, the homes were entered through unlocked doors or windows. In other instances, windows or doors were pried open.

Police also said some of the break-ins happened while someone was at the home. The burglar was either undetected by the resident or ran off when seen.
