WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Investigators Wednesday found the body of an Alzheimer's patient who wandered away from a care facility on Tuesday.
A North Carolina Highway Patrol aircraft spotted the body of Miklos Ankhely, 67, in a wooded area near Deacon's Ridge subdivision.
Ankhely, who walked away from the Wake Forest Care Center on South Allen Street, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill will conduct a follow-up examination to determine the cause of death.
