Fayetteville May Seek More Control Over Group Homes

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville City Council is scheduled to consider a resolution asking the state for more control over group homes at its meeting on Monday.

Members want to increase the minimum distance between group homes from the current 800 feet to the maximum distance of a half-mile.

The City Council has had informal discussions with local legislators about the problems associated with group homes.

This is the first time the council has made its concerns official.
