<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Raleigh police said an attempted abduction ended with a car crash Saturday afternoon.

According to authorities, the suspect approached two girls on Calumet Drive and attempted to coax them into his vehicle. After not succeeding, he then drove away and wrecked his car at New Bern Avenue and the Beltline shortly afterward.

Authorities said that the unidentified suspect faces DWI and charges related to the accident. The alleged kidnapping attempt and the wreck remain under investigation.
