HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — Hoke County authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting.
Alphonson Lorenso Jackson, 30, of Aberdeen was charged with first-degree murder in the death of David Corbitt, 21. Authorities said the shooting happened late Friday evening at a residence on Snubbs Road.
Lorenso was arrested early Saturday evening. Authorities said early Saturday afternoon that they are interviewing several persons of interest in the case.
The investigation continues and additional people could be named as suspects, Sheriff Hubert Peterkin said.
Jackson is being held in the county jail without bond.
