Among the highlights of the 2001-2002 A.C.C. men's television schedule is 18 nationally televised games played on Sunday nights.
The new time slot is the result of a ten-year contract between the A.C.C. and Fox Sports Net, which reaches 70 million homes and wants to use the games to create a Sunday night fixture.
North Carolina State athletic director Lee Fowler says he has heard from fans who do not like the idea of Sunday night basketball. The Wolfpack has four Sunday night appearances, three in Raleigh. North Carolina and Duke also have four appearances on the schedule.
All nine A.C.C. teams have at least two Sunday night games.
