Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police believe one of the men shot at an after-party in Chapel Hill is connected to an earlier murder.

Roy Bodden Jr. was shot in the chest after the Apple Chill festival in April. He was out on bail at the time. He is accused of killing Nathan Alston in 2004.

Another man shot at the after-party was also out on bail. Hassan Breeden is accused of trying to kill two men at a Durham fast food restaurant.

Police said the shootings were gang-related.
