Three Arrests Made In Raleigh Home Invasion

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are sorting out the details involving a home invasion and shooting.

Police said 24-year-old Kevin Jason Rodriguez, 21-year-old Ellie Melvin Brett and a 15-year-old male burst into an apartment on Hamilton Club Drive near the Brier Creek Country Club Sunday night.

Officers said 48-year-old Michael Lynn Mimnall suffered two gunshot wounds to the abdomen. He was taken to Duke Hospital. There is no word on his condition.

During the scuffle at the apartment, Brett was shot in the neck and left wrist. He was located a short time later near T.W. Alexander Drive and taken to WakeMed.

Rodriguez was located and arrested Monday morning. He and Brett are being charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police have also arrested the juvenile involved in the case.
