Pharmaceutical Firm Sandoz To Expand, Add 65 Jobs in Wilson County

RALEIGH, N.C. — Sandoz

, a division of pharmaceutical firm Novartis, is expanding and updating its facility in Wilson County and adding 65 new jobs over the next three years, Gov. Mike Easley's office announced Thursday.

Sandoz will invest $10 million in the facility.

The state offered Sandoz a $150,000 grant as an incentive for the project.

Sandoz manufactures generic pharmaceutical products. It will build new research and development space and renovate space for its quality control department, the company said.

New jobs will include chemists and quality control technicians.
