Nash County Escapees Caught In Tarboro

— Two prisoners who escaped from the Nash County jail Sunday were apprehended Monday in Tarboro.

Jeffery Young and Terry Dawkins were captured without incident at 3:10 p.m. at the Midlakes Trailer Park in Tarboro.

The prisoners escaped by going through the door to the exercise yard, scaling the wall, and breaking through the fence around the top.

Young was in jail for kidnapping, trespassing, and possession of stolen goods. Dawkins was in jail for felony breaking and entering and possession of burglarly tools.
