FAYETTEVILLE — Three people were killed in a single car wreck on Country Club Drive and Distribution Drive in Fayetteville Sunday morning. Another passenger is in the hospital.
Authorities say the driver, Alton Pettijohn II of Hope Mills, was not seriously hurt because he was wearing a seatbelt, and the airbag deployed. Pettijohn, 19, was treated and released from Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
Brothers Donald Mullin, 20, and Chris Mullin, age unknown, were both dead on the scene. June Humford, whose age has not yet been released, also died on the scene.
Antwan Mumford, whose age has also not been released, is in Cape Fear Valley Hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
