Man Convicted In Dogfighting Ring Must Get Rid Of Pit Bulls

— A Lee County man convicted of running a dogfighting ring has until Tuesday to get rid of all the dogs on his property.

The Lee County animal control department says dog owner Gaston Williamson had them destroy 31 of his pit bulls. They said the dogs were older, and Williamson could not sell them.

Williamson owned 119 dogs when he was found guilty of several charges earlier this month.

Agents made their bust at his home back in March.
