Fundraiser Held For Harnett County Family

Posted Updated

HARNETT COUNTY — A Harnett County family whose lives were changed forever by a terrible car crash is getting some help.

A fundraiser was held at Campbell University Saturday afternoon for Jill Upshaw and her family.

Jill has been in a coma for almost two years and has three small children; the youngest was born right after the accident on October 6th, 1999.

Saturday's fundraiser gave old friends a chance to get together again, have a little fun, and show their love and support for the Upshaw family.

"We kind of lost touch with each other until recently, and it's been good to get to see Al again and spend time with him," said friend David Feddeman.

A raffle was also held to raise money for the family.

The event was set up by Campbell University, where Jill's husband is a professor.

You can still help out the family, even if you could not make it to the fundraiser.

Contributions can be made to the Jill Upshaw Fund, care of Campbell University School of Law, P.O. Box 158, Buies Creek, North Carolina, 27506.
