Funding Plan Could Affect Fayetteville Non-Profits

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville city council members want to take a closer look at how non-profit agencies get their money.

The policy committee wants city manager Roger Stancil to come up with a funding planwhich would determine the needs of non-profit organizations and take a look at how their money is spent.

Stancil says depending on the agency, that could be both good and bad news.

"It could mean no money for some agencies and some money for other agencies who have not been in the loop before," he says.

The new policy should be finished within the next few months.
