etrials To Provide Electronic Diary Services for Large Pharma Firm

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — etrials

has landed a contract with a top 10 pharmaceutical firm to provide electronic diary services for several upcoming studies.

etrials did not identify the client. It is an existing customer of etrials, which provides "e-clinical" services.

The contract will require etrials to support Phase iii vaccine studies in six countries and multiple languages. etrials will also manage logistical coordination and deployment of more than 4,000 handheld devices and more than 700 site-based diaries as well as man a 7 x 24 help desk.

Patients involved in the studies will use the handheld devices to enter data into etrials' electronic forms to track various forms of information.
