RALEIGH — With more than 100 applicants for the job of Raleigh police chief, the job of narrowing the pool of candidates is under way.
City Manager J. Russell Allen says a review panel will narrow the list to four candidates within the next 10 days.
Allen says the panel will also consider the results of a recent
police satisfaction survey
in making its decision. In the survey, Raleigh residents were asked what they valued as factors and characteristics in the selection a police chief.
The finalists will be invited to Raleigh for a two-day visit.
No date has been set for a final decision.
