The Atlanta-based wireless application development firm will provide wireless access protocol (WAP) and short message service (SMS) solutions for Traffic.com.
The WAP and SMS offerings will enable Traffic.com to reach more voice, mobile, and e-mail users.
"Air2Web has demonstrated success in the wireless market for years, and is able to support us in the development and operation of this system," said Michael Nappi, senior vice president of interactive media at Traffic.com. "The inclusion of WAP and SMS to our service capabilities allows us to deliver valuable traffic information in a timely fashion to drivers, when and where they need it most."
