NCCU Rally To Support Woman In Alleged Duke Rape Case

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A vigil and rally will be held Monday at North Carolina Central University.

The events begin at 6 p.m. in front of the McLean Residence Hall and are open to the public.

The events are in response to an incident in which a N.C. Central student claims she was raped by three men on March 13 when she was hired for a party at a home where Duke lacrosse players lived.

Forty-six players submitted DNA samples. Those test results are expected this week, but Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong said he will not immediately release them.
