Posted Updated

ASHEBORO — The cost of animal watching at the North Carolina Zoo is about to go up.

Starting July 1, general admission for adults will rise from $8 to $10. Admission for children and senior citizens goes up to $6.

It is the first time in six years that prices have gone up at the zoo. However, the zoo will continue to provide free admission for registered school groups during the week.
