Ten Families Homeless After Tarboro Fire

TARBORO, N.C. — Ten families are looking for a new place to stay after a fire gutted part of an apartment complex.

It happened at the Georgetown apartments in Tarboro. Flames destroyed four apartments; six others have smoke and water damage.

Investigators believe it started with an electrical problem. The Red Cross is putting up many of the families for now. No one was hurt.
