Fayetteville Declared All-American City

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE — After a persuasive video and presentation, Fayetteville has been declared an All-American city.

A few weeks ago, a film crew was in town shooting a video to show why Fayetteville should be called an All-American city.

The film and a major presentation paid off Saturday night in Atlanta when Fayetteville won the award. Residents say there is a reason they have been recognized.

"Everything you would want in any city in the country, that's all here. If your city doesn't have it, Fayetteville always has it," says one resident.

Fayetteville welcomed home the delegation Sunday afternoon.

The "All-America City" award recognizes cities that work together to solve community issues.

The award is given to 10 cities across the nation by the National Civil League.
