RALEIGH — The intersection of Blue Ridge road and Hillsborough street at the North Carolina State Fair Grounds railroad crossing is closed because of a lightning strike during Saturday night's storms.
Traffic will be rerouted until the crossing is fixed.
CSX, the Department of Transportation, and the Highway Patrol are on the scene to handle the situation.
This is a major route for CSX north and south bound traffic. Trains will still run, but cars will not be allowed to cross the intersection.
