Phone Fundraiser To Be Held For Raleigh Hunger Organization

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh group that feeds the hungry will try to raise some much-needed cash Wednesday.

The

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

plans to hold a phone-a-thon Wednesday.

The group picks up millions of pounds of food from grocery stores and wholesalers and delivers it to programs in seven counties.

Officials said the nonprofit group is struggling, due to among other reasons -- higher gas prices and donor fatigue.
