Police Searching For Suspect in Durham Mall Shooting

DURHAM — A man is recovering after being shot in the head at Durham's South Square Mall Monday afternoon.

Malcolm Henderson, 24, of Durham, was shot in the left temple. He is listed in fair condition at Duke Medical Center.

Durham police say a series of shots were fired in the upper level of the mall in front of Lane Bryant, near J.C. Penney around 3 p.m. The mall was busy with holiday shoppers.

Police say a dispute between a group of four young men ended in gunfire.

Police are on the lookout for the suspect and several other men, who were last seen in a gold Saturn.
