Drugs, Guns Seized In Wilson County

WILSON, N.C. — A joint investigation involving several law enforcement agencies leads to the arrest of a man during a traffic stop.
Authorities stopped a vehicle on N.C. Highway 42 east. They searched the vehicle and found 1,000 grams of cocaine and a handgun. Investigators arrested 33-year-old Felipe Rodriguez.
A later search of Rodriguez's residence on Tyler Lane resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, two guns, $80,000 in cash and paraphernalia associated with the sale of narcotics.
The State Bureau of Investigation, Tarboro police, Wilson police and the Wilson County Sheriff's Office worked together on the investigation.
Rodriguez is currently at the Wilson County Jail under $2 million bond. The investigation is ongoing.
