Overnight Gas Leak Forces Raleigh Residents From Their Homes

RALEIGH — More than a dozen families are safely back in their homes after a gas line ruptured overnight in Raleigh.
It happened around 12:30 A.M. at the corner of Pine and Whitaker Mill Roads.
Emergency officials say a driver hit a major line, forcing the evacuation of about 18 to 20 families.
Gas crews quickly arrived on the scene and shut the gas off. No one was hurt.
