Family Members Accused Of Bringing Drugs To Inmates

Posted Updated

CUMBERLAND COUNTY — Detectives say family members were bringing marijuana to prisoners at the Cumberland County jail.

Jailers found marijuana sewn into the waistband of a pair of boxers. They say the drugs were intended for inmates Kewarn Mack and Travis Freeman.

The two inmates, Freeman's two sisters, his niece and a friend are facing felony drug charges.

Sheriff Earl Butler says this is the first time he has heard of drugs being found in a pair of boxers.
