DURHAM, N.C. — Three students at a Durham elementary school are being treated for scarlet fever.

The three are students at Holt Elementary and two of the students are brothers, school officials said.

School officials said that they believed this was an isolated incident.

The students are recovering from the illness, which is very much like strep throat with a rash.

The three were diagnosed this week with the illness.
