CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Chapel Hill teacher no longer faces charges for assaulting students.
Kathleen Yasui-Der, 50, was charged with assaulting two autistic boys at Frank Porter Elementary School two years ago.
A judge dismissed the charges after Yasui-Der apologized. She also gave up her teaching license for a year and got a psychological evaluation.
